speaking of accidentally sugary breakfasts, i dashed out of the house before eating this morning to get to the farmers market before it closed. so i broke fast with this lemon & opal (ie purple) basil gelato. it’s from DC’s dolcezza gelateria, which, i must say, is AMAZING. my coworker jason helps them out on weekends, so i got the inside scoop (ahp!) and a taste of all the flavors, from pumpkin to pistachio to dark DARK chocolate. all so. so. good. and with the insider friend price, i cant complain about breaking fast with gelato.
